If you decide to get rid of it someone like me who works on them might be interested in it as a parts gun. They had nothing but problems with the design. Keep a eye on Numrich because they can get them in and there parts list are updated weekly (same with Jack First).īut as I said if it is the 49r then don't fix it because it will only break again. I have gotten barrels from Numrich and Jack First. If it is the single shot then you might have a chance to find a parts gun (on internet) but keep in mind these barrels were fitted before the hold pin was drilled out so each guns barrel can fit there gun only and as I said a new barrel will have to be worked to fit right. If yours is the 49r which is the repeater then forget it there are no parts around because Ithaca had nothing but problems with them and recalled them a long time ago Although some parts are still available they are only minor parts not the important parts. I work on them all the time in fact I have 2 in the shop right now.(Guess that is because I am 15 miles from Ithaca). If you find one it will have to be "Fitted" and head spaced.
Which one do you own the single shot or the repeater.?
The new Ithacas are good guns but over priced and they are not making the 49. in Kings ferry NY could not sell the crap they were making after they got the rights from the original Ithaca guns in Ithaca NY.
